About Mrs. Spradling:
Hello there! I am Brittany Spradling and this is my very first year teaching and I am lucky enough to be teaching the new second grade section at Pleasant Hill School! I am thrilled to be teaching and being able to watch the students grow into incredible learners, friends and parts of the community. I take pride in that our classroom is a family.
Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I started on this career path by going to Illinois State University to pursue Art Education. I changed my major to Photography because I could not get enough of it! After my undergraduate degree I still felt like part of me was missing. This is what lead me to getting my Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education from National Louis University.
I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and moved down here after I completed my Masters and married my wonderful husband. I love living in Central Illinois! It is a great change of pace but it is still new to me and I am constantly learning more about it.
My husband and I are proud parents of our first child, John Andrew. He has been the light of our lives!
I look forward to this exciting year of my life and can't wait to make a difference in the lives of these children.
